ITINERARY:

First day: Arequipa – Base camp (4800 m.a.s.l.)

Pick up from your hotel, departure from the city of Arequipa at 8:00 a.m. The transfer is made in a private 4 x 4 car to the outskirts of the volcano during 50 minutes. From there the walk begins to 4800 meters, in 5 hours, where the base camp will be established. During this trip we will take a box lunch, and we will observe ecological change, the diversity of wildlife and climate change. We will also have a panoramic view of the landscape and the city of Arequipa. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Second day: Camp – Summit (5825 m.a.s.l.) – Arequipa

At 3:00 a.m. we will take a mate de coca, then ascend to the Summit using mountain equipment, pass through the edge of the crater up to the Summit, where there is a cross. Here we will observe the impressive crater, as well as the neighbouring volcanoes, Chachani and Pichupichu, in addition to other peaks. In this place you are welcome for a period of 30 minutes, then start the descent to the base camp, returning to the city of Arequipa at approximately 4 p.m. Transfer to your hotel.
